Entrepreneurship development Cell of M K Ponda College of Business and Management organized entrepreneurship, startups and skill development workshop for its students. The workshop unearthed the facts related to new challenges and issues related to startups. The workshop also focused on nurturing new ideas, innovative thinking and role of funding agencies in the establishment of an enterprise. The workshop was chaired by Chartered Accountant Mr Raju Bhai Shah, Proprietor, R. Jayantilal Shah & Associates. MKPC’s works on the principle of knowledge enhancement and creating leaders of tomorrow hence, to justify the same we bring the eminent personalities to share their experience from known to unknown. The workshop started with the lamp lighting and Dr. Vishal Sood and Dr. Manoj Jain welcomed all the dignitaries with bouquet. The motivational speech was given by Mr. Sumeet Ponda, Chairman, Red Rose Group stating the current economic development is on the shoulders of the YOUTH who can lead and dictate terms. We need our students, should analyze the problems and needs in the society which can be developed as an Idea for startup. Start from small investments and focus on wealth maximization rather than profit maximization. He also conveyed that, one should not only focus of studies but also on creativity to develop and create new opportunity as Venture Capitalists. A two and half hour workshop was conducted by CA Raju Bhai Shah which focused on the key points like idea generation, idea screening, managing risk, Proposal development, Financial analysis and role of Financial Institutions. He also discussed about the success and failure of the startups. The take away of the workshop was to provoke and imbibe entrepreneur skills among the students. Finally, the workshop ended on the healthy note about the opportunity and support provided by Government of India to promote the idea as a young entrant. Mr. Harshil Ponda Executive Director, Red Rose Group in his speech said it’s the need of today that new entrepreneur should come forward as this will not only increase the revenues for firm but this will also increase the employment in India. Now students should not only study for jobs but they should try to develop the ideas for startups. He also said this type of workshop plays a major role in entrepreneurship development and in the workshop many success stories were shown to students related to startups.
